-Tiago Forte, Building a Second Brain

There is a vast marketplace of apps that advertise their unique features that make it the best tool to use for note-taking and personal knowledge management. I argue that the best tools to use for note-taking and personal knowledge management is one that you will use, and one that you can understand.

Are there apps that are built to be PKM systems? Absolutely. If you are inclined to use them, do so! But beware of the app trap that leads to procrastination and infinite customization/setup in the tool itself rather than aid in producing new works as a result of using it.

The link includes a landing page complete with an SOP, Navigation Pane, use-case demonstrations, and of course - the template!
